Spreading TruJoy Across State Lines!

What a wonderful weekend in St. Louis, MO visiting Straub’s Fine Grocers– The first retailer outside of Texas to carry our Frozen Greek Yogurt!

Three months ago to the day we produced the first batch and it has been nothing but an adventure. We have launched into 24 stores around Austin and across Texas and can now be found at all four Straub’s locations in St. Louis!

It is pretty is incredible how opportunities are born - a couple of months ago at a demo at the Central Market in Fort Worth I gave a bite of Blueberry Parfait to Ben Straub. Other than being excited that he picked up a pint, I did not think much of it… Until the next day when I received an email from his sister, Ellie Huff, telling me that her brother had tried a sample and said they had to figure out how to carry at their family’s chain of four stores in St. Louis. It did not take long for Ellie and I to figure out how to send a half a pallet to them!

I had to see it for myself, so I bought a mileage ticket (you rack up a ton of miles starting a business with a credit card…) to St. Louis. If Straub’s was willing to take a chance on TruJoy, I felt I owed it to them to come up and do some demos to try to create some buzz about our Frozen Greek Yogurt in their community!

I am beyond grateful for the opportunity that Ellie and the Straub’s family have given us and I cannot think of a better way to wrap up our first three months in business!

And if you ever happen to be in St. Louis... you must swing by Straub's and grab some of their chicken salad!

A commemorative freezer hang

Turns out folks in St. Louis love TruJoy Yogurt too! Sold out of 3 flavors on our first demo at the Webster location!
