TruJoy Yogurt Comes to Life

Cheers to all of the hands that helped make this dream come true!

We wrapped up our first commercial production run today! The past few days have been truly remarkable seeing everything come together at the same time and place - not to mention seeing 8,000 pints of Frozen Greek Yogurt for the first time!.

It all began to feel real late last week when the pints came in - no digital rendering could ever do justice to the real thing! The rest of our perishable ingredients came in at the end of the week (with the dairy barely skidding in in time!) so that we would be ready to start with Madagascar Vanilla Bean on Monday.

Shameless selfie with the first pint!

Watching hundreds of pints roll off the production line over the course of a few hours is quite a sight. Especially when you think back on all of the pints and all of the batches you made over the past year. All of those homemade batches (good and bad!) and hand packed pints… All of that work to get here and then see the continuous freezer do in an hour what I did in a year!

It is now time to go make the first deliveries to Roy Pope’s and get ready for TruJoy Yogurts official launch event this weekend!

Only time will tell whether turning my life savings into something that can melt was a good idea or not… but I am excited to see what the future holds for TruJoy Yogurt!
